Yup, I did have to divide this into multiple blog posts of course! he-he
O.K., so maybe we built a few rockets, robots, even launching systems . . . and that was fun too. But, the next speakers who got my attention were Mallory Jennings and Heather Paul. They are both engineers who are helping create the next flight suits.
So . . . maybe the space suits for the Apollo missions gave the astronauts a few problems. Well, these engineers are helping make the next flight suits even more friendly to the astronauts and the jobs they do in space.
This is Heather modeling the garment worn under the space suits—yes, water fills those tubes throughout the whole garment, keeping the astronauts at a comfortable temperature.
My attempt at doing the Texas A&M Islander sign. :)
Astronauts do NOT wear diapers, they wear MAGS (Maximum Absorbency Garment). he-he
